Industrial Painter Job in Minneapolis, Minnesota US

A qualified candidate would have experience measuring and recording the paint room environmental conditions, the material surface profile, the wet paint film thickness, and the dry film thickness. They would have applied paint to structural steel with solvent and water based and epoxy paints. They would understand the application of multiple coat paint systems. They would operate and maintain high volume, low pressure paint pumps, handle very heavy structural steel with cranes and forklifts while positioning material for paint application and removal of the material from the paint room. They would have experience preparing paint for application and for paint pump, lines, and gun cleaning at the end of each project. They would have handled and documented the hazardous waste residuals resulting from paint handling, use, and clean-up, and be familiar with the various types of personal protective equipment required.
8,9, or 10 hours per day - 4:45pm-1:15am, 1/2 hour lunch, M-F, half day on saturday, and as of now Saturdays are voluntary but can be mandatory at times.
