With Operator Channels, Microsoft is placing a strategic emphasis on Operators as key go-to-market partners for Microsoft software, services and devices for share gain in Phone, TV, and Windows devices and Consumer and Business Cloud Services (partner hosting and syndication). We organize the OC business along the lines of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) - responsible for consumer devices, software and services sold through Operators (Windows Phone, Windows 7 PCs and TV) and Business-to-Business (B2B) - the B2B channel strategy encompasses a range of business offerings including Infrastructure, Applications and Voice that can be partner-hosted or Microsoft-hosted and supported by flexible, partner-friendly business models. The Operator Channels team is experiencing high growth and increased senior executives visibility given the strategic nature of the business for Microsoft and the Operators CxO level partnerships and relations. The OC B2B is one Billion dollar fast growing business that will double in revenue by FY14. Our purpose is to empower businesses to innovate, collaborate and succeed. We pursue our mission by enabling Service Providers (Telcos, Hosters, SaaS ISVs, Outsourcers) to deliver Cloud Services from both Partner and Microsoft facilities. Service Providers are the fastest growing sales engine in the broader OC. Operating across EPG (Enterprise), SMSP (SMB and Corporate Accounts) and Public Sector, the OC B2B group is focused on driving high growth through its unique channel partner business models, Partner Hosting and Syndication, and accelerating the overall success of Microsoft as the market leader provider of Cloud services, across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. Team/Role Description: The OC B2B business is rapidly expanding the opportunities for hosting service providers to either offer new cloud services based in their own datacenter (IaaS and SaaS) or syndicate Microsoft cloud services (SaaS and PaaS) The B2B Group is responsible for developing and executing against Microsoft's Service Provider strategy and implementing partner sell-with/sell-out plans. For instance, B2B will work with the product business groups to develop new offers based on Microsoft technologies, then will recruit new partners to create new business offers targeting small, medium, enterprise or public sector customers and then help them take the offer to market.. The key requirements of this role include understanding hosting/cloud services industry trends that translates into opportunity for Microsoft, prioritizing investments, ensuring field readiness, and providing feedback to product groups so that they can build the appropriate solutions and service provider offers. The Web Hosting Industry Solutions Manager will be responsible for enhancing or developing new Web and Managed Hosting business offers for service providers in partnership with the Server and Tools business group and driving field readiness for the new offers. This role requires a deep understanding of the hoster, telco and outsourcer business model, an ability to quickly understand the new and existing offers, the ability to identify scenarios where we can partner with our hosting service providers to build a joint business based on our rich stack of infrastructure and platform products, and most importantly, an ability to develop a scalable field execution plan that drives scorecard metrics and partner success. Accountabilities: 1. Develop the Web and Managed Hosting proposition in the B2B context with full alignment with Product Business Groups 2. Design and develop Web and Managed Hosting offers relevant to the Hosting Service Provider scenarios 3. Engage with all stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment of B2B offers including segment and product Business Group support and funding of key field engagements and last but not least field execution.
