The qualified candidate must currently be licensed as an RN in the State of Texas. Related infection control experience preferred. Teaching experience a plus. Prefer CIC and current BLS certification. The Infection Prevention Coordinator provides coordination of the Infection Prevention Program in the hospital. The main objective is to assure a high quality of patient care by identifying and eliminating risks of infection to patients and personnel through daily surveillance; by identifying areas which need special monitoring; by assisting with educational and research programs; and by teaching information pertinent to infection control to staff, physicians, and patients.
