Specific Job Description The Lockheed Martin Corporation is looking for an experienced Information Assurance Engineer to work in support of USSOUTHCOM's Enterprise Support Directorate in information assurance and computer network defense. The employee will perform all work on-site at the JIATF-S at Key West, FL. The employee will administer a wide range of network security systems, to include firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, mail filters, vulnerability management systems, Host Base Security Systems, intrusion detection systems, RETINA scanning software, Anomaly Detection Systems, Retina Enterprise Management, and the information assurance management systems. The employee shall obtain and follow standards established by ES-C4I and DISA for collateral networks, and also implement the capability to monitor system and network security parameters. The employee shall adhere to incident reporting requirements and handling procedures as required by DoDIIS, SIPRNET and NIPRNET Site Certification and Accreditation. He/she shall assess the applicability of IA vulnerability alerts and bulletins, and implement approved and tested system security patches, anti-virus updates, and other approved security measures as mandated by DISA alerts. The employee shall ensure compliance with IA policies and guidance, and coordinate, consolidate and track USSOUTHCOM Theater reporting of IAVM compliance and scanning compliance in VMS IAW Communication Tasking Order directives. Employee shall liaison with external agencies and subordinate units as the subject matter expert on VMS, SCVI and SCRI, and provide updated tactics, techniques and procedures and standard operating procedures for VMS, IAVM, SCVI and SCRI as required. He/she will prepare and brief USSOUTHCOM leadership on IA/CND situational awareness as required, and assist with INFOCON recommendations to the Director and ES-C4I Staff. He/she will coordinate resource to perform incident response tasks; track to completion and maintain databases of all incidents, and prepare and present incident response reports. Interact with external agencies and subordinate units as the subject matter expert on installation, configuration, and management of Intrusion Prevention Systems, anomaly detection systems, firewalls, and host based security systems for the USSOUTHCOM area of focus. Participate in Staff Assistance Visits for subordinate units as required, and produce and update tactics, techniques and procedures and standard operating procedures for incident response, IPS, ADS, FW, HBSS and other CND tools as required. Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validates system security requirements definition and analysis; establishes system security designs; implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
