Informatics Medical Nurse (New York City)

Job Description This Informatics RN position is located in our NYC office - Reporting to a Senior Medical Director, the RD Nurse will work closely with the RD clinical staff in the development and maintenance of ActiveHealths clinical products. - Works closely with the RD Medical Directors/Pharmacist/Product Managers on product development and testing - Participation in research and review of current medical literature for the updating or development of new clinical rules and disease management content - Ongoing review and updating of ICD-9 / ICD-10, CPT-4, NDC and LOINC codes in the database to maintain compliance with external mandatory regulations - Participation in clinical rule building and maintenance for AHM Clinical Review Systems (CRS)and Care Considerations (Clinical Rules) - Participation in the development and maintenance of Care Management and Patient Portal products - Provides support to the Sales, Marketing and Client management teams as needed - Participates in continuing educational activities, as appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS: Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters degree preferable - A diploma from an accredited nursing program and experience commensurate with a degree, participation in continuing education and a minimum of 5 years appropriate experience Experience/Skills: - Three years relevant clinical experience in internal medicine or DM or specialty nursing - Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong organizational and detail oriented skills - Experience with patient educational materials - Demonstrates working knowledge of computers in a Windows environment, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs with the ability to learn new applications - Ability to work independently and adapt to team approach as necessary - Strong project management skills - Possess the ability to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and high growth Certificate/License: - Holds current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the United States. EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
