Vibrant is seeking an Information Architect who takes pride in solving complex problems with user interface design and visual design, and most importantly, delighting the end user. Working closely with product management to understand the product vision and engineering leads to understand viability, you will rapidly and iteratively prototype solutions through annotated mockups and functional prototypes. You will help the end user to understand the problems they are facing and define the ideal solution for their needs.
We are looking for a candidate who can:
• Quickly demonstrate potential solutions through annotated mockups, prototypes, interaction flows, and interface guidelines
• Design applications that have intuitive interaction models to promote a high level of automation
• Listen to user feedback and communicate it back effectively
• Comfortable with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism
• Understand what is behind a set of requirements or feature requests to design not just what is asked for, but also design what the customer is really asking for
• Contribute as a design lead with engineering and product management
Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
• 3-5 years of information architecture and interaction design experience
• Experience working with web prototyping frameworks like jQuery, Bootstrap, YUI (or a passionate explanation for the tool of your choice)
• Experience with mockup and prototyping tools like OmniGraffle, Balsamiq, Axure,Adobe Creative Suite (or a passionate explanation for the tool of your choice)
• Familiar with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
• Experience working on large projects to deliver software applications with a high level of complexity on time
• Understanding of the capabilities of the technologies deployed by your engineering team
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology a plus
• User research skills including persona development, usability testing, and web analytics a plus
