Information Architect

Position Overview:

To create wireframes and information architecture based on existing templates and standards. Accountable for all aspects of the employee experience and design including look-and-feel and graphics. Monitor and adjust the usability and design to ensure business impact is achieved for internal employee service delivery channel. Provide project management for new initiatives as well as supporting the sustaining model to achieve effective operations.

Job Profile:

·         Create wireframes, mockups, visual specification, interface requirements, working prototypes to describe the intended user experience

·         Accountable for graphic design and look and feel of the site or user interface

·         Develop thorough, realistic plans that support organizational objectives and business impact

·         Work with multidisciplinary teams to create user friendly online content solutions for clients

·         Define site architecture and navigation that serves as blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built

·         Provide project management for new initiatives

·         Translate customer requests and business requirements into specifications and wireframes

·         Create consistent user experience

·         Understand web analytics, best practices

·         Define and document interface requirements

·         Create system usability guidelines and design guidelines

·         Create consistent information hierarchies

·         Tagging, taxonomies, metadata frameworks

·         Search and SEO

 

 

Technical Skills:

·         Ability to understand the audience and their information and functional needs

·         Strong knowledge of site design (HCI, HTML, CSS)

·         Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology

·         Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks

·         Content inventory and analysis

·         Understand web analytics and UX best practices

·         Understanding of Search and SEO

·         Content tagging, taxonomies, metadata frameworks

·         Understanding of web space, designing both form and function

·         Understanding of use of color, images, typography, illlustrations, animation, materials and various layout techniques as it relates to user experience

·         Clear understanding of effective offline and online communications (production, design, technologies, usability)

·         Ensure design solutions meet brand standards and requirements (style, structure, tone, ect.)

·         Knowledge of preparing graphics and video for web (slicing, optimizing)
