Information Assurance Specialist

Government Secure Solutions CGI Inc is seeking a highly motivated Information Assurance Specialist to join our team based out of Sierra Vista, AZ.

Specific Duties:
• Verify Compliance with established security procedures and standards, identify and document vulnerabilities and make recommendations on mitigating actions.
• Assist with IA Certification and Accreditation activities and documentation per DIACAP.
• Work closely with the government IAM and staff to ensure program meets customer objectives.
• Maintain currency and compliance with DoD Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense directives and regulations.
• Responsible to the weekly recording and review of IAVAs as they are released.
• Conduct quarterly analysis of hardware baselines using Retina Network Security Scanner and the DISA Gold Disk summarizing IA posture to customer in a formatted spreadsheet
• Provide guidance on implementation of security mechanisms and controls.
• Review Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) STIGs and ensure systems implement required guidance
• Ensure system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle
• Establish audit trails and ensure their review
• Update and maintain contract IA proceedures
Requirements:

• Must have three - five years of relevant experience.
• Be currently certified in one of the following IA certifications such as Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP) or equivalent/ relative security certification.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to read technical information and understand technical information and vulnerabilities.
• Position requires that candidate be able to currently possess an active security clearance
Desired Skills:
• A technical background such as computer science, computer engineering, traditional engineering, mathematics, or the core sciences is preferred as the technical skills will assist with the Information Assurance solutions in the context of NIST publications and guidance is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the applicable DoD and US Army directives and Instructions.
• Should be capable of working independently as well as part of a larger group under minimal/ moderate supervision.
