We are currently seeking multiple experienced Information Assurance Specialists to work in historic Charleston, South Carolina. Our client has recently won a number of new and long-term projects and has doubled their technical staff and is still growing.
We are looking for an IA Engineer with comprehensive knowledge of Defense in Depth principles and technology including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure and the implementation of network and enterprise security architecture.
Candidate will act as an IA/Security Specialist interface with Java software development scrum teams.
Candidate must be (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP) certified
Experience with developing secure Java software applications and ensuring that Information
Assurance principles are applied during the early stages of the SDLC.
Possess comprehensive knowledge in some of the following areas is required: system security design, analyze information assurance requirements, enhancement of security platforms, SDLC, identification, authentication, and authorization, intrusion detection, auditing, principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control), security testing, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools
Defense in Depth principles and technology including access/control, authorization, Identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, network, and enterprise security architecture.
A clear understanding of various communication protocols as well as a technical understanding of cloud based security and knowledge of HADOOP/HDFS and Distributed Cloud Computing Architecture (DCCA) is a plus
Participate in service design, implementation, and operations to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, guidelines, and requirements
Performing risk assessments of services and systems during services strategy, design, implementation, and operations.
Reviewing and making recommendations on enterprise information assurance and security policies, standards, guidelines, and requirements.
Identify, configure and execute tools designed to ensure software codebase adheres to DoD Application Software Development STIG
Identify proactive measures to ensure software is able to receive an Authority to Operate (ATO)
Experience with Agile with Scrum software development methodologies are highly desired

Requirements:
Bachelor's of Science degree in an information security, computer science or an engineering field with 8+ years of SDLC experience
Knowledge of SDLC and Computer architectures
Knowledge of SOA, Service Buses and web applications work are preferred
Experience with Rational Team Concert a plus
One or more of the following certifications:
ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
GIAC Security Expert (GSE)
GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
SCP Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA)
(ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC)
ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Software develop certification a strong plus:
Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP)
Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services (SCDJWS)
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA)
