Job Description Information Engineer (Job Number:303712) Description: The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit has a job opening for an Information Engineer at Scott AFB, IL. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Information Engineer will focus on providing data sets for functionals analysis, force flow conference support and the executive support role. The Information Engineer will partner with business analysts supporting Tasks 2 and 3 of the Fusion Center in USTRANSCOM to create a greater synergy of the technical data analysis and the functional operational decisions. The Information Engineer will work within the systems to accomplish data pulls and design and develop technical tools to enhance the business analyst's capabilities. Information Engineer will be interactive in supporting the knowledge wall, cyber requirements, FACCSM duties and gatekeeping for various systems and have the capability to support across Fusion Center functions. Personnel working in the information engineer labor category will have technical competence with information systems development, functional data requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, program design and documentation preparation. The technical staff will also be skilled in computer programming including the use of macros, procedural code modules, creation of database applications and complex algorithmic design solutions. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in related field and 7 years experience in programming in visual basic and using Microsoft Access and Excel as well as creating Macros and doing data pulls from source systems using Sequel and My Sequel Server. Must be familiar with logistics data and systems within USTRANSCOM, Air Mobility Command or Surface Deployment and distribution Command. Active Secret Clearance is required.
