Role Summary/Purpose
The GE and AVIC JV IT Business Solutions Leader will have strategic and operational responsibilities for JV systems enterprise resources planning and business applications, and work with JV functional leaders to define business processes and agree upon requirements definition. This will include developing ERP strategy, evaluating ERP vendors solutions, and manage projects implementation to realize the strategy and deliver productivity.
Essential Responsibilities
The Information Management (IM) Team Leader - Business Solutions demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term some long-term business goals.
· Serve as a team leader for detailed IT implementation support activities for business applications
· Act as subject matter expert for assigned area processes supporting applications functionality and primary liaison to functional managers
· Responsible for project initiation completion within functional area by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities
· Accountable for delivery of goals objectives assigned to the work group
· Responsible for management activities including performance management distribution of work assignments
· Provide organizational leadership in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and operation of IT solutions
· Evaluate and produce business plans operating practices, which improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs
· Lead the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in tune with business objectives and goals
· Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
· Maintain effective communication with customer, client, supplier system’s management
· Assure projects associated resources are planned, prioritized managed efficiently
· Responsible for employee selection development evaluation
· Prepare salary plans, investment/expense budgets, and other administrative tasks
· Maintain current knowledge of new system management practices information technologies that are applicable to business objectives creatively promote their use
· Motivate team by creating a sense of purpose to meet the goals of the business through coaching leading by example
· Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards practices promote their creation
· Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required
· Prepare, present review overall Information Technology plans, status reports cost / benefit studies
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in the application of information technologies to business solutions) · At least 3 additional years of experience in business planning, resource allocation, or the project management of implementing information technologies
