Information Security Architect, Financial Services recruitment

Leading global MTF and Exchange firm is recruiting an Information Security Architect.

The Information Security Architect will have drive and facilitate security across the client enterprise by translating business requirements into secure technical designs that balance business needs with risk management.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their strategic plans, and ensure that the security architecture can support them, and provide Infosec design support to projects.

The role is a new hire within a fast passed and rapidly changing business. A number of Greenfield programmes of work are planned, and the Information Security Architect will play a pivotal role in these programmes.

Essential experience required:

- 8 years experience of hands-on Info Sec or equivalent.

-Working knowledge of modern security technology such as firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

- Working knowledge of enterprise IT components such as Windows and Linux.

- Strong networking skills - TCP/IP, routing, and switching.

- Experience with designing and engineering enterprise IT solutions.

- Strong communications - must be able to explain to stakeholders complex concepts such as encryption, access control, and generally accepted design principals. Must be able to manage customer expectations.

- Requires up to date knowledge of evolving Infosec threats and risk management.

- Understanding of SDLC security.

- Familiarity with common compliance frameworks such as ISO17799 and industry recognized guidance such as NIST and OWASP.

- Ability to work independently and in team settings under tight timelines.

Desirable:

- Holds an industry recognized certification such as CISSP or CISA.

- Has experience in more than one industry, but with bias to Financial services / Investment Banking.
