Posted Position Title: Information Security Governance Leader Career Level: Experienced Function Information Technology Function Segment: Information Security Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Louisiana City: New Orleans Postal Code: 70112-4527 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: The Information Security Governance Leader works with GE Capitals Information Security team and GE Capital Businesses to drive the creation and implementation of the Information Security Governance Program. This role interfaces with senior GE Information Security and Business leaders to ensure that initiatives align with the overall Security Program's mission, meet Business and regulatory requirements and meet GECC quality standards. Essential Responsibilities The Information Security Governance Leader is responsible to lead the Information Security Governance function across GE Capital. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: - Establish ISO qualifications, roles and responsibilities - Manage security aspects of the GECC risk assessment process - Manage Risk Exception Process - Manage the Information Security Council governance - Establish and maintain acceptable Risk Thresholds - Establish Asset Classification parameters - Establish preferred Third Party partnerships - Establish and maintain cross-business and cross-functional relationships with key leaders and stakeholders across GEs business, information security and IT functions - Coordinate with GE Corporate to ensure consistency with GE Governance Practices - Develop and lead program communications with internal and external regulatory and audit bodies Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree with 8+ years of IT experience and leadership or equivalent work experience - Minimum 5 years information security experience - Experience managing direct and matrix-reporting global teams - Strong influencing skills - Deep understanding of financial services regulatory environment including FFIEC and GLBA Eligibility Requirements - You must apply via COS (internals) or www.gecareers.com (externals) to be considered for this position - Unrestricted work authorization in the United States - You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. - Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check.
