We are currently looking for a Security Specialist to join an outstanding Information Security Practice in covering enterprise accounts throughout the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas.


Job Description:


As the Security Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of 10-15 named accounts.  This includes the opportunity and relationship development of all security related activity, such as the development of a security strategy, engaging and working with the account manager, identifying the decision makers within the account, identifying customer needs and recommended solutions.  Additionally this role is responsible for relationship development with the security vendors and should have intimate knowledge of DLP, SIEM, Encryption and Managed Services.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       You will develop a security strategy with the account manager within 10-15 enterprise accounts.  You will help drive expected the revenues within those account and be able to coordinate $1-$5 million dollar projects.

·       In addition, you will Identify the customer need, facilitate vendor interaction to address that need if necessary, recommend a solution, and define a detailed closure or statement of work.

·       Understanding Risk, Corporate Governance Legal issues related to Information Security is a definite plus  Should be able to discuss business issues as well as technical issues with C level executives throughout the enterprise.  Able to articulate regulatory compliance issues.

·       Responsible for developing vendor relationships at the field level.  Must understand where the vendor fits in to market strategy and maintain current knowledge on the technologies related.

·       You will attend vendor training on products and roadmaps for our Information Security offerings.  Work with vendor personnel to establish opportunity registrations for optimized program.  Conduct existing/new account planning with vendor channel and direct account managers.


EDUCATION:

·        Prefer a BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or technology-related field, preferred.


EXPERIENCE:

·         Minimum of 5-7 years of technical sales experience within the IT Security space selling both IT Security products and  services.

·         5 years experience managing security vendor relationships.

·         Direct system engineering or support experience involving the design/configuration of hardware, software and services solutions at an enterprise level.

·         Direct involvement in working with internal and external teams to sell technical configurations of hardware, software and services.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

·         CISSP or security certification is a plus


SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·         Demonstrated ability to gather client requirements and align vendor solutions to client IT Infrastructure systems and configurations in the designated practice.

·         Demonstrated consulting expertise (gather requirements, problem solve and recommend) in midsized and Fortune 1000 customer environments.

·         Demonstrated ability to achieve high level of Customer Satisfaction.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Strong time management and organizational skills.

·         Excellent Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint skills.

·           Resourceful working with disparate client and internal departments to deliver meaningful solutions.
