Information Security Systems Engineer
Desired Skills: Possess the ability to identify security risks, reduce and maintain threats and vulnerabilities of Information Systems (IS), networks, applications and new technology initiatives. Enforce the information security configuration and maintain system for issuing, protecting, changing and revoking passwords. Provide technical oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans and procedures at server sites. Candidates should be familiar with IC and Federal Government standards mandating IS and Network Security such as FISMA, NIST, DCID and ICD's. Thorough understanding of computer or network based security tools, technologies and techniques needed to support accreditation requirements as well as strong written and oral communications skills. Take lead in the collection, assembly, and writing of security related documentation to support successful CA and establishment of SSP's. Develop and interpret security policies and procedures to meet operational requirements and understand how to securely integrate new and legacy technology into existing infrastructures. Validate and test complex security architecture and design solutions to produce detailed engineering specifications with recommended vendor technologies.
