IT Systems Architect
Design and develop system architectures for new or existing IT related systems, defining key functional and technical capabilities. Assess design and technology maturity constraints of the system in conjunction with customer needs. Review and approve design of subsystems and integration between components for total system, as well as impacts to other systems. Approve all system interfaces. Assist in system implementation approach and operational concepts as necessary.
Provide detailed technical guidance as needed.
Follow all approved IEPG processes
Provide all required SyA IEPG deliverables (Scopes, SRD context, SAD input and approval).
Provide input into project planning activities.
Provide expertise for feasibility studies and prototyping.
Propose new technologies and business approaches that may benefit the corporation, recommending projects to evaluate their value and potentially lead to new standards.
Interact with System Engineers (SyE) and Enterprise Architects (EAs) as required.
Proactively review systems development directions, overall systems relationships and functions, and shape long term solutions.
Individual must be able to apply advanced business, technical, or functional principles, theories, and concepts within the IT arena. Individual is expected to be involved in the development of new principles and concepts of IT services within and across the organization. Projects are complex, multi dimensional situations requiring quick but thorough analysis and analytical as well as creative thinking in deriving solutions. Ability to link disparate concepts into structured approaches, and seeing the 'Forrest through the Trees' is required. Individual is expected to perform as organizational spokesperson in specific areas

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate should have background with Siemen's Team Center Products, specifically Team Center Unified. Experience with a large, heavy manufacturer is beneficial as well. SAP experience a plus, but not required.
Ideal candidate will have experience with engineering processes, integration with manufacturing, and broad IT technical skills related to PDM product sets. Conceptual and practical understanding of functionality within PDM products, and the relationship to ERP systems is required.
