Information Systems Engineer

Job Description: Raytheon is supporting a proprietary customer contract for delivering technical support to customer management and providing resources for the technical services required to enable customer mission accomplishment. In support of the customer's strategic direction, Raytheon is looking for key individuals who can support the protection of the customer environment. An expert in information systems engineering is needed to support the customer team.

Responsibilities will include :

- Plans or supports large-scale systems projects through operations, performance, testing, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training and support, and/or system disposal.

- Ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of systems.

- Applies communication, analytic and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.

- Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.

- Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Conduct open-systems architecture assessments.

- Assist and advises customer with technical design support to system acquisition specification, design, proof-of-concept prototyping, development and evaluation of management information and decision support systems

- Conducts design and development of systems to include prototypes, and modeling and simulation of system behaviors

- Will service in a wide range of roles to include operations analysis, computer architectures, client/server and other aspects of distributed and data-base intensive systems

- Will produce enterprise, operational, system, and technical architectures

- Information Security/Assurance

- Lead technical feasibility analysis

- Directs and performs requirements and implementation analysis, design, development, testing and enhancement of complex systems

- Leads technology insertion planning and develops system modernization plans

- Directs and/or performs integration of COTS and custom products

- Determines feasibility of commercial technologies for various applications

- Develops and implements testing strategies and document results
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems
- Participates in special projects as required

Required Skills:

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

- Minimum of 8 years information system engineering experience

- Understanding of industry standard system architecture tools

- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering teams

- Solid understanding of systems security

- Solid understanding of system testing methodologies

- Proficiency with MS Office Applications

- Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

- Must have experience in all the following Hardware Operating Systems:

Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris.

- Proficiency with MS Office Applications

- Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

Desired Skills:

- 12 years+ information systems engineering experience

- Experience with Risk and Opportunity management

- Experience with algorithm development

- Experience with Network architecture and design

- Experience with process development and deployment

- Experience supporting Intelligence and/or DoD Customers

- Experience with Agile development models

- Experience designing system architectures or current technology insertions

- Excellent writing skills

Required Education:
BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, OR Computer Systems Engineering. Must have a minimum of 8 years experience or equivalent education and experience. Masters Degree preferred.

Desired Certifications:
DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level II; CISSP preferred
