Information Technology - Support Manager 586
- Technical Management
- Manage a team of tech support professionals, lead professionals, and supervisors/team leads
- Develop a performance measurements framework and facilitate feedback system to team members on issues such as customer service, communication, and technical skills, in order to enhance the quality of service
- Must be both able and willing to document problem/solutions in our knowledgebase to empower other team members
- Manage Help Desk resources for optimal performance. This will consist of resource management for incoming customer inquiries, projects, administrative work and time allotted for holidays and paid/unpaid leave
- Obtain equipment, tools, and space needed to allow team members to adequately support the customers
- Prepare the support team for new product/service releases
- Oversees asset management for IT hardware and software
- Maintain the integrity of open issues and call tracking
- 5 or more years' Technical Support experience
- 3 or more years' IT Support experience in Retail Environment
- 1 or more years' Manager/Supervisor* experience (*Manager/Supervisor with direct reports)
- College degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related field
- Hands on knowledge of IT systems which includes: Windows, UNIX, Networking wired/wireless, Security, Databases, and Messaging.
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, great oral and written communication skills, and be able to work under high pressure/quick response environments
- Established experience in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with both software and hardware
- Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
- Ability to change priorities as necessary
