Under close supervision, to assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of City telecommunications and data processing assets.
In this entry level class incumbents assist in providing technical support for desktop computer equipment including hardware, software and peripheral devices.
Equipment and systems include: personal computers, printers and other peripherals, hardware components, software applications, cabling and connectivity issues and systems integration; and to work with computer based equipment and network equipment including the City’s municipal fiber optic and wireless components.

Under general supervision, directly responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of City telecommunications and data processing assets.
In this journey level class incumbents provide technical support for desktop computer equipment including hardware, software and peripheral devices; Perform more complex maintenance and repair of computer and system integration problems.
