KEY OBJECTIVE
In collaboration with the Technology / Data Support Operations Manager, provide dynamic leadership related to the technology operations of the insurance operations center. Responsibilities include management of onsite and remote staff.

SCOPE
Work closely with the insurance operations, IT infrastructure/application teams to define, recommend, and implement solutions to business processes requiring premium and claims registrations. The position will facilitate and manage resource planning, risk assessments and report preparations. The ability to affect change with various internal and external stakeholders as well as manage multiple projects and priorities is essential.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define and implement comprehensive systems/applications to support defined business processes/strategies
• Oversee development of new code and enhancements related to ACE’s centralized business rules application.
• Create implementation plans with well defined and measurable milestones; track and report progress for monthly reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirements gathering, technical design specifications, test plans and results, and migration/change requests and approvals.
• Work closely with ACE functional team members/business units to implement changes and facilitate testing within the systems environment.
• Interact with various project teams, on-shore/off-shore functional business users/units, on-site/off-site consultants; and various other technical resources within ACE.
• Provide subject matter expertise and consultative support to the Operations area and Business Units.
• Rotate on-call support for all for all identified supported systems and system maintenance during off-hours and weekends as may be required.
• Establish team goals; foster team commitment; establish leadership credibility and convey a strong vision
• Establish a formalized performance management plan for all direct reports. Foster and facilitate staff development including succession planning

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• Technically skilled individual with 2-5+ years, hands on, broad-based information technology experience – (hardware, communications, and software.)
• 2-5 years of experience working on IT projects leveraging and engaging multiple teams.
• Demonstrate sense of urgency and high degree of initiative and professional judgment
• Ability to provide periodic off-hour and weekend support for critical system matters.
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication (oral and written) skills
• Customer focus
• Ability to travel

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Background in insurance operations, and/or systems support preferred.
• BS in Computer Science
• PMP or other project management certifications
