Infrastructure Engineer
Infrastructure Engineer is required by leading FTSE 250 listed company to join their growing Infrastructure team, to play a lead role in the support, administration and implementation of Servers and Infrastructure Systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical IT background, with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, and a minimum of 3-years' experience providing infrastructure support in a commercial environment. The candidate will support a wide variety of systems and servers running MS Windows operating systems and Linux. In addition, the candidate will take a lead role in maintaining the Vmware, SAN and network infrastructure.
It is also essential to have experience within the following criteria:
- Proven record working within Infrastructure/ Systems Support role
- Extensive Microsoft Server/ MS Server support experience
- Proven working knowledge of Active Directory
- Working knowledge of DNS, WINS, DHCP or TCPIP
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks/ SAN systems
- Knowledge of VMWare / Virtualisation highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of Firewalls preferably Cisco ASA's / Checkpoint etc
- Understanding of Network Security preferable
- Working knowledge of Active Directory
The successful applicant will be working within a rapidly expanding organisation working with a variety of technical specialists whilst interacting with multiple offices and business units across the group.
