Leading London-based Hedge fund has an outstanding opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team.
Our client is a £1 billion strong Hedge fund with performance figures of 18%. They use an innovative approach using quantitative techniques to identify relative value opportunities while dynamically adapting to changing market conditions. This is an opportunity for someone that wants to work with a smart people in a collaborative environment that is focused on FX and Equity.
You will maintain and improve their existing IT infrastructure, e.g. Windows servers, PCs, VoIP, internet security etc.
Work with the business to plan future IT development.
Build and maintain cutting edge technology – HP blade systems, Windows HPC, SANs etc
Manage hosted infrastructure in remote data centres.
You will be the only support profile in the business so must be able to deal with mission critical problems and changes, what you will gain is a small trading team exposure and an immersion into high frequency technology. You should
The candidate will have a strong interest in technology and be able to demonstrate a practical experience of IT systems management. Previous experience should be demonstrated.
Candidates MUST have:
- Microsoft Stack Infrastructure experience
- Experience of HP Blades
- Exchange
- Desktop support
- VMware
- Ideally SQL
- Networks, SAN and WAN
- Firewalling
- 4 years commercial experience
- Experience in a fund, Bank or Asset Manager
- Permanent background
- Experience dealing with small teams.
