A large player in the Australian and Asia Pacific Financial Services market is looking to drive continued growth in the organisation by hiring an experienced IT Infrastructure Operations Manager to drive effective day to day operational performance in the business.
In order to take advantage of the significant business and system enhancement projects that have been delivered the next step in their growth journey is to the leverage the technological benefits by ramping up operational and business process maturity.
This appointment is a key hire and will be key to the delivery of high quality and innovative technology infrastructure services and solutions in support of the business strategy and technology architectures. Essentially it will be responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects to ensure the availability and performance of the organisation's IT Infrastructure.
Key areas of focus:
- Strategy - developing policies, standards and processes. Keep up to date on emerging technologies and their potential applications for the business. Developing and maintaining Infrastructure refresh plans
- Commercial - Contract Management of infrastructure hardware and software maintenance / services. Manage opex and capex budgets.
- Infrastructure performance delivery
- Project Management of business improvement initiatives
Experience required:
- Strong leadership and people management capability - demonstrable track record of developing, leading and growing teams
- Customer centricity and high quality service focus
- Solid technical background providing operating and maintaining Enterprise Technologies
- Experience servicing multiple operational sites and a WAN
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders of all levels
- Preferentially qualifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Project Management and ITIL (MCTS / VCP etc)
