Role Summary/Purpose
The Computing Operations Program Manager is responsible for leading all of the Sourcing, Procurement and Billing Operations activities for the GIS Infrastructure Build Team. They will provide leadership and project level management in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and control of IT infrastructure solutions. They will be responsible for purchasing all infrastructures, acting as the primary liaison between Vendors and support, strategy and governance teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead all of the Sourcing, Procurement and Billing Operations activities for the GIS Infrastructure Build Team
  • Provide leadership and project level management in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and control of IT infrastructure solutions
  • Responsible for purchasing all infrastructure and act as the primary liaison between Vendors, support teams, strategy and governance teams
  • Serve as direct contact of detailed Information Technology (IT) implementation and support activities for business customers
  • Serve as the Primary contact for all supporting GIS teams including, sourcing and facilities at all GIS Data Center locations Globally
  • Act as the subject matter expert for physical infrastructure design and availability of approved certified configurations
  • Responsible for project initiation and completion within functional area by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities in a matrixed environment
  • Responsible for Vendor management activities including performance management
  • Provide organizational leadership in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, and operation of IT Infrastructure solutions
  • Evaluate and/or produce business plans and operating practices, which improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs
  • Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
  • Maintain current knowledge of new system management practices and information technologies that are applicable to business objectives and creatively promote their usage
  • Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards and practices and promote their creation
  • Drive conformance to system architecture standards and best practices
  • Prepare and present the budget/savings status as part of operational review for GIS Leadership teams on a regular basis
  • Lead ongoing process improvement and reengineering initiatives to drive cost down and increase customer satisfaction
  • Manage all billing related activities to ensure correct financial controllership of all new and transitional builds

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in information technology)
  • Minimum 4 years of Project Management experience within multiple technical environments
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in design support and maintenance in one or more infrastructure Operating Systems solutions

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Cincinnati, OH, Alpharetta, GA and Albany, NY
