Infrastructure Support Analyst recruitment
Infrastructure Specialists will assist with ensuring the operation of all systems infrastructure, voice and data networks, data centre operations, server and desktop platforms for the Hub and assigned managed spoke offices.
They will manage support, operation and implementation of infrastructure and upgrades; implement the infrastructure roadmap and recommend changes to it to meet capacity and business needs and to resolve incidents and problems across all assigned regional offices. They will maintain and improve reliability, availability, confidentiality, and integrity and security control over the businesses infrastructure systems.
The technical responsibilities will include support (level 3), of all platforms including servers, desktops, network (voice and data) and associated systems, storage storage area networks, data centres, operations, security, DR process and procedures, DR testing and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
•Provide 3rd level support for all infrastructure components in the region environment.
• Manage and develop the regional infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and availability of system
•Assist with capacity planning activities for infrastructure components in a proactive fashion to ensure system performance is maintained and upgrades are anticipated well in advance to allow for correct resource planning to be applied
•Ensure environment meet the security and technical standards
•Apply system upgrades as required by local requirements and global standards
• Provide system updates and changes.
•Provide assistance for local and global projects
•Perform in-team project management
•Provide training on new systems
•Work with change management to ensure changes are correctly managed and controlled
•Maintain infrastructure testing environment
•Ensure the reliability and availability of any infrastructure DR and backup systems within the region
•Assist with office expansions where there will be an impact on back office systems
Others:
• Providing regular reports/updates
• Participate in infrastructure team meetings
• Hold regular meetings as required to support the activities of the team
Requirements
- Tier 2- Tier 3 support experience on infrastructure support, networks and peripheral equipments
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft back office systems such as Exchange, windows 2003/2008, and SQL
- Strong experience on storage and virtualisation
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networks
- ITIL certification is a plus
- Good communications skills
- Ability to exploit IT for business benefit
- Good skills in procedure development and implementation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
- Good planning and project management skills
- At least 6 years experience in a similar role
