Infrastructure Support Engineer Job in Middlesex, London Uk

Infrastructure Support Engineer required urgently for our Client based in West London/Middlesex. The role will Support Manage the Microsoft Wintel, Red Hat, Citrix, VMWare Infrastructure and associated Microsoft solutions (AD, Exchange, IIS etc) installed primarily in the EMEA Data Centre to company standards, and provide support to the Wider Global teams supporting the other globally managed Data Centres.

This position is also expected to participate in the design of infrastructure for planned project migrations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide support for the design, implementation and operation of Microsoft Windows and VMWare infrastructure implementations.
• Provide support for the design, implementation and operation (second/third-level technical support ) of Microsoft infrastructure and application environments - Exchange, IIS and Active Directory implementations operating in the EMEA Datacenter
• Provide support for the design, implementation and support of the standard infrastructure applications - ePO/McAfee, Citrix etc implementations in DC and provide technical support for EMEA customer entities
• Provide support for the implementation and support of the LAN and Load Balancing services available within the Data Centre
• Contribute to backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
• This role requires occasional need to travel - mainly to the EMEA Data Centre but also occasionally to EMEA countries to support migration or development projects
Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in installing and supporting all Microsoft Server Operating systems 2000, 2003 2008.
• Proven experience in installing and supporting VMWare systems.
• Proven experience in installing and supporting Infrastructure applications such as Microsoft Active Directory, NT4 Domains, DNS, WINS, McAfee ePO/Antivirus, TSM Backup and Restore client
• Proven experience in installing and supporting Microsoft application environments such as Exchange, IIS, ISA etc
• Experience in supporting Citrix environments and some experience in designing and implementing Citrix environments is desirable.
• Some experience in scripting (e.g. VBS, batch scripting, powershell) is desirable.
• Some experience in the operation and management of LAN, Load Balancing and Firewalls is desirable

• Excellent attention to detail, including documentation
