Infrastructure Transactional/Private Funds Attorney
Position Description
Looking for a lawyer with 7-10 years of experience to provide transactional and fund support to private investment funds, primarily one investing in infrastructure assets and potentially other similar funds. The lawyer should have experience either directly with infrastructure investing or otherwise with MA and/or project finance transactions. The lawyer would assist an investment team and coordinate with outside counsel through investment and divestiture processes. In addition, the lawyer would be responsible for advising the fund on legal issues relating to fundraising and interpreting fund documents and how they impact the investment process. Someone with experience in private equity fundraising and related regulatory issues (particularly, the US Adviser Act) would be valued. The lawyer should be able to work independently and be able to work directly with demanding clients in the business, at all levels. The position in based out of New York but would be supporting a global business (together with lawyers located internationally).
Skills Required
Transactional expertise in infrastructure investing and/or project finance. Expertise with private fund formation, and related regulatory issues (including Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Securities Act and FINRA issues).
