The UBS Group Executive Board (GEB) set up a Strategic Regulatory Initiatives Portfolio in 2012 to integrate strategic regulatory change under a single reporting and governance framework. The scope of the portfolio currently includes Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP), Basel III, Derivatives Reform, FATCA, MIFID II, Volcker and will include others over time based on defined criteria. The objectives of this integrated approach are to:

-Effectively respond to regulatory changes and understand the associated impacts;
-Prioritize issues and decisions for the GEB and provide an overview of consolidated portfolio status;
-Provide context and pro-active management of costs, risks, actions, issues, dependencies and synergies; and,
-Ensure linkage to the strategic direction of the firm.

This role is one of four available positions within the Integrated Reporting and Portfolio Support office that sits at the heart of strategic regulatory activity within UBS. You will have a content focused role through alignment to two or more individual Strategic Regulatory Initiatives for whom you will be the main contact point with the Program Manager.

You will collate and quality review updates from the Initiatives on a monthly basis with a focus on their Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Synergies (RAIDS) in order to monitor key areas of concern from a portfolio perspective. Following a detailed review and analysis of initiative plans, an important responsibility will include chairing investigatory meetings to understand changes to activity RAG statuses and schedule setbacks and subsequently escalating relevant delays if required. You will also regularly liaise with the Program Manager and other key stakeholders to discuss specific concerns and support GEB reporting.

In addition to your specific focus on individual Strategic Regulatory Initiatives, you will be expected to initiate and oversee deep dives into potential risks or issues across the portfolio of Initiatives as required. You will also have responsibility for supporting the role of the Strategic Regulatory Initiatives Senior Stakeholder Group as the governance body for the portfolio management of the Strategic Regulatory Initiatives. You will liase with other key stakeholders and SMEs to support portfolio management of the Initiatives.

-Prior Experience working within a PMO function and a strong understanding of reporting processes;
-Understanding of integrated planning skills: interdependency management; critical path analysis; and, activity based scheduling.
-Prior experience of implementing strong Quality Assurance practices;
-Experience in managing multiple internal stakeholders in a sensitive environment;
-International program management experience; and
-Basic understanding of the FS regulatory landscape, particularly Basel III, RRP, Dodd Frank and EMIR
-Available to travel at short notice (between Zurich and London); and,
-Project management certification (PMP, Prince 2) would be a welcome additional asset
