Position Summary
The Innovation Analyst will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and evaluating emerging IT technologies, techniques and processes. The Innovation Analyst will also provide input and help collaborate with the evolution of the IT Strategy framework and associated documents.

Reporting to VP IT, Strategy Integration.

Key Responsibilities:
The Innovation Analyst will be responsible for the following:
• Chairing the IT Innovation Forum where emerging IT technologies, techniques and processes are identified, captured, and discussed.
• Evaluating and applying criteria for assessing identified IT innovation ideas or concepts. Participates on the Innovation Review Board (IRB) where innovation opportunities are reviewed, prioritized and filtered based on potential value, suitability, applicability, and feasibility for the Catalent environment.
• Coordinating and conducting research on potential IT innovation projects leveraging the internet, vendor documentation, vendor meetings and other alternative methods to help with the assessment of assigned opportunities.
• Identifies, performs and/or coordinates any required installation, configuration, and prototype testing activities for assigned opportunities. Documents and shares results and findings with the IRB team.
• Facilitates the IRB tollgate review sessions for active opportunities. Documents and shares status and results with the IT team and user community.
• Leads or significantly contributes to the preparation of a use case, project cost estimates, business case and any other required documentation for active innovation opportunities. Completes the project initiation process for approved opportunities.
• Prepares periodic status reports and updates on assigned projects. Presents recommendations and progress reports to the IT Leadership team and/or other project stakeholders.
• Significantly contributes to the development, preparation and communication for IT Strategy templates, documents and deliverables.
• Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Education or Equivalent:
4-year degree in Business Management or MIS/Computer Science preferred. This requirement can be met by a combination of education (4 year degree in another discipline) and relevant work experience.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years experience.
• Must be an excellent team player, be capable of working independently, and be able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must have good working knowledge of computer hardware, application software, database, networking, complementary technology.
• Must have good working knowledge of financial concepts, reports calculations.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must be proficient in personal computing applications (MS-Office, Project and Visio).
