Inside Sales (Griswold) Job in San Bernardino 92313, California US
SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Level position is responsible for several aspects of the sales of function as it relates to the effective management and service of the Wilden Griswold distributor network. The IS position requires effective interaction with several internal departments, including Engineering, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service. Additionally, the IS position must effectively manage a network of contacts ranging from distributors, end users, freight forwarders, government trade officials, and banking officers. The IS works to improve departmental efficiencies and create cost savings on an on-going basis. Creates good will for Wilden Pump Engineering Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interfaces with Distributor Network on a daily basis via phone/e-mail/fax. Performs technical sales support and trouble shooting for distributors and end users in support of Regional Managers (RM) and Regional Directors (RD).
- Must develop knowledge of products in detail including the operating principles and performance characteristics.
- Assists Global Marketing Coordinator in preparing trade show demonstration equipment for trade show use.
- Assist in the tracking of Field Tests.
- Begin to develop application knowledge.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Detailed knowledge of markets, including banking, customs regulations, INCO terms and international sales trade practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with distributors and end users. Highest level of written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
- Ability to develop, write and promote proposals to V.P. level.
- Extensive knowledge of all relevant computer software necessary to perform all aspects of the inside sales function, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and graphic design programs. Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic theory.
- Knowledge of pumps and mechanics needed, electrical, a plus.
- Able to be self-reliant and use independent judgment to determine the best way to meet both our customers’ needs and company objectives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Undergraduate degree desired.
Extensive travel background, work and living experience in a foreign country preferred (International only).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be fit for travel.
