Position Summary:
The Inside Sales position is responsible for several aspects of the sales, marketing, and finance functions that relate to the effective management and service of Wilden’s distributor network. The Inside Sales position requires effective interaction with several internal contacts, including Engineering, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service. Additionally, the Inside Sales position must effectively manage a network of contacts ranging from international and domestic distributors, end users, freight forwarders, government trade officials, and banking officers. The Inside Sales position works to improve departmental efficiencies and create cost savings on and on-going basis. Creates good will for Wilden Pump Engineering Company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Interfaces with Distributor Network on a daily basis via phone/e-mail/fax. Performs technical sales support and trouble shooting for distributors and end users in support of Regional Managers (RM) and Regional Directors (RD).
· Interfaces with Director of Marketing/Customer Satisfaction to successfully plan, implement, manage, and analyze specific, targeted marketing projects.
· Assists Global Marketing Coordinator in preparing trade show demonstration equipment for trade show use.
· Manages special projects/committee memberships. Actively involved with select research and development committees that requires interfacing with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing; oversees constant development of Sales Marketing Training Courses (SMTC); conducts specific market and product surveys.
· Must develop knowledge of products in detail including the operating principles, and performance characteristics as well as developing knowledge of common industries and applications where the product is used.
· Understands and implements value selling concepts in day-to-day interface with distributors and end users.
· Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education
Detailed knowledge of markets, including banking, customs regulations, INCO terms and international trade practices. Ability to effectively communicate with distributors and end users. Highest level of written and oral communication skills, including public speaking. Ability to develop, write, and promote proposals to V.P. level. Extensive knowledge of all relevant computer software necessary to perform all aspects of the inside sales function, including word processing spreadsheets, databases, and graphic design programs. Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic theory. Ability to remain flexible to company travel requirements. Undergraduate degree required. Travel background along with work and living experience in a foreign country preferred (International only). Computer; standard office equipment.

Must be fit for travel.
