Summary of ideal candidate: 

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the team that acts as the first and most common contact point with our customers.  As such, must have a focus on service, professionalism and representing the VMVB image of our Company.  The primary responsibilities of this role are to lead a team to ensure timely and courteous day to day service of customers including: sales order execution, providing product availability and shipping information, preparing quotes, questioning to understand wants/requirements, and engaging customers with product and support knowledge to create a pleasant and memorable experience.  He/she maintains primary customer contact and operates as an integral part the entire Sales Team and supports the selling efforts of the direct sales force through communication.  The Inside Sales Manager is expected to be a strong adherent to the Tuthill Business System and Conscious Company.

 

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

Ø  Lead and manage inside sales team to support customer requirements and PD targets

Ø  Ensures order execution, requests for quotation, all pre post-sales requirements support external and internal expectations

Ø  Engages customers or potential customers with the intention to understand needs and wants of products and services

Ø  Ensures RGAs drive improvement and are resolved quickly and comprehensively to satisfy our customers.  The expectation is that we never experience the same root cause again.

Ø  Uses visual controls to manage daily load and finds opportunities for productivity improvement through waste elimination

Ø  Leads improvement of understanding customer ordering trends or changes by executing outbound calling process and improving fidelity of Sold Units Mechanism

Ø  Understands and can train inside team on product/application fit, all selling tools, and Selling Process

Ø  Embraces Tuthill Business Systems (TBS) and Conscious Company tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements. 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:

Ø  Excellent leadership skills

Ø  Solid computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office

Ø  Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customer base by demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ø  Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to customer requests as a strong customer advocate

Ø  Knowledge of products, applications, selling tools, parts, pricing, discount/commission schedules

Ø  Solid organizational and priority management skills, particularly in a dynamic work environment

Education Requirements:

Ø  Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field/experience. 

Experience Requirements

Ø  5 years prior experience in Customer Service with Technical background

Ø  SAP software experience a plus

Ø  Manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Demands:

      Ø   Extensive computer and telephone use

Ø  Work environment can include both office setting and manufacturing floor – temperatures vary substantially

Ø  Travel by conventional means may be required occasionally – less than 20% of the time
