Kidde Fire Fighting currently has an excellent opportunity for a high-potential, results-driven Inside Sales Representative for our hose product line at our facility in Angier, NC (near Raleigh). Position serves an inside sales function for new and existing accounts through inbound and outbound telephone calls. Facilitates all aspects of the sales process to include identifying new opportunities; developing sales solutions; closing sales opportunities; negotiating pricing; providing outstanding customer service and follow-up. Partners with outside sales to ensure sales efforts are maximized and opportunities uncovered. Will tag team with senior sales personnel in territory development and coverage.

Required to keep all account status information current, achieve monthly and quarterly performance goals, maintain an aggressive lead pipeline, and place outbound calls in support of sales and marketing programs. In addition, this candidate maintains current knowledge of all products, services, and competition.

Job duties:

-Responsible for identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities with new and existing customers. Maximizes sales efforts by focusing sales time on largest, most profitable opportunities (may include segmenting account list and creating customer/product sales plans).
-Has responsibility for accounts with large growth potential and revenue streams.
-Improves profitability, product penetration and product mix with all customers.
-Qualifies sales opportunities through market/customer research and teaming with outside sales representatives.
-Develops sales solutions and competitive pricing strategies. Communicates value proposition to customers. Proposes sales solutions to customers and reevaluates solutions where necessary.
-Provides outstanding customer service and post sales satisfaction, facilitating long-term relationships for repeat business.
-Approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of customer-centric selling skills and tools, such as use of scorecards, business reviews, EVE tools, high/wide/deep, 5 warning signs, prospecting new account calls, development of a robust sales funnel, collecting ARs, avoidance of bad debts, cross selling,and effective CRM system management.
-Achieve stated gross margin targets as a percentage of sales.
-Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific selling activities.

-Bachelors Degree in a technical, sales, or business-related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
-At least 3 years' experience in an inside sales role required.
-Advanced knowledge of account management, scheduling, customer service/support, product pricing, sales support, records management, etc.
-Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills--especially telephone skills--with the ability to utilize creative skills and innovation in developing solutions to customer requirements, concerns, problems, etc.
-Advanced planning, organization, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills required.
-Proficiency using customer contact software, Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required (must know how to extract, manipulate and input data from Excel).
-Possesses an entrepreneurial orientation, placing primary focus on the departmental goals and objectives.
-Supports staff and can develop a sales team.
-Ability to work effectively within the department as well as cross-functionally.
-Creative, logical, analytical person willing to try new approaches required by the company and the market.
