Zep Sales Service (NYSE: ZEP) is a leading provider of specialty chemical products to a wide variety of industrial, institutional, and retail customers.  We are looking for several dynamic Inside Sales Representatives to join our team in our expanding Glendale Heights (Chicago) office.  As an Inside Sales Representative with Zep, you will use your talent to aggressively increase sales capacity and your own income.

Essential Job Functions Accountabilities: 

The Inside Sales position at Zep is a proactive sales position where you will be conducting business mostly through outbound calling.  As part of the sales team, you will help coordinate and execute Zep sales team strategies.  As an Inside Sales Representative, you will call, grow, service, and manage active accounts. Also, a successful rep will renew inactive accounts with a goal of building mutually profitable business relationships for both the customer and Zep.  In addition, the successful candidate will:

- Make contact with active, inactive, rolled business, and new customers with the specific purpose of assessing the customer needs, growing the account by providing solutions on Zep cleaning maintenance products while establishing and maintaining customer relations 

- Place 75 plus outbound calls daily

- Meet and exceed revenue growth goals 

- Educate customers on pricing and inform them on the benefits of using Zep products  

- Ability to penetrate the account with new products and services 

- Accurately manage the order system with excellent follow up and account management

Requirements: 

- A high school diploma or equivalent may include specialized or vocational courses 

- At least 1 year of business to business sales experience or other related sales experience 

- Strong understanding of sales cycle, macro and micro business trends, and post-sales follow-up preferred

- Proficient in email, the internet and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as typing skills  

- Good communication (oral and written), problem solving and interpersonal skills; courteous and clear telephone voice; customer focused  

- Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationships with sales reps and customers 

- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.  

- Assertive demeanor, competitive nature and disciplined approach is a definite must 

- Knowledge of SAP and TZG or similar system (preferred)
