Inside Sales Representative will provide support for Timken Boring Specialties customers, distributors and field sales force. Sales representative will review contracts, order and process quotes, as well as provide supply chain and logistical support for TBS customer base. Additional responsibilities encompass creation and maintenance of customer account files; detailed analysis of customer, metallurgical, and commercial data to exact proper manufacturing performance of customer orders; price, surcharge and claim management; credit terms support; interaction with a variety of internal supply chain groups; and ongoing communication with customers and Timken sales engineers.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Process customer inquires and orders in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Provide excellent communication and real-time response to all customers, distributors and Timken Steel sales engineers, including production and lead time schedules, specification comments, status reports, freight rates and other logistical information.
- Coordinate product, metallurgical, spec review, legal, pricing and transportation issues across internal departments to ensure timely processing of customer inquiries and orders.
- Maintain customer item files and ascertain accuracy of customer data in the system.
- Monitor inventory levels to facilitate appropriate supply chain flow.
- Monitor, report, and resolve debit and credit issues involving international customer accounts.
- Strengthen relationships and promote Timken steel products to customers visiting directly or communicating with Houston offices via phone, e-mail or fax.
- Proactively monitor customer issues and offer improved solutions to enhance customer service
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Associates Degree in Business or Science with 6-10 years experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Science with 3-5 years experience.
- Detail Oriented Customer Service Experience
- Ability to travel to Customer Location and Company events
