Inside Sales Representative Job in Jackson 39213, Mississippi US

Sells and promotes building material, millwork, and other products through key dealers and builders at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·        Works with customers to convert inbound inquiries into actual sales.

·        Overcomes technical and business objections for prospective customers.

·        Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.

·        Estimates date of delivery to customer based on product knowledge, order processing, production and delivery schedules.

·        Prepares reports of business transactions.

·        Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

·        Investigates and resolves customer problems.

·        Builds and maintains customer relationships.

·        Complies with required company policy and procedure.

·        Communicates with buyers on product shortages or quality issues.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  — Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 5 or more years millwork experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS — Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS — Ability to apply concepts such as discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

OTHER SKILLS/CERTIFICATION — Microsoft Suite—Word, Outlook, Excel (Intermediate and Advanced).  Courses are available through the Learning Zone. SX.e Navigation, Order Entry, Reports, Inquiries, Setup, Purchase Order.  Formal and Web-based training SX.e training sessions are available.

 

REASONING ABILITY  — Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
