Job Summary
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in a designate region of the United States. This includes forecasting to Regional Director and VP of Sales.
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Websense products and technologies, competitive products and industry trends.
- Develop in-territory partners by assisting with certification requirements and sales and product training.
- Accept inbound and perform outbound telephone calls from/to end users and reseller partners to identify sales opportunities. Utilizes a consultative selling approach to educate end users and partners.
Essential Functions
- Pro-actively interfaces with prospects and reseller partners on a daily basis via telephone and email to provide assistance and support the closure of revenue opportunities.
- Drives the sale process by providing and/or coordinating appropriate resources for partner generation and management of leads.
- Assist partners with questions and develop relationship with territory partners as a “trusted advisor”.
- Manage product demonstrations to prospects and partners
- Manages contact database with continuous updates as required
- Meet or exceeds quota
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Four year degree required – business, marketing or IT preferred.
- Experience: 3 + years or more in selling business to business or through the channel, 4 years of related experience in a high tech software company preferably within a two tier distribution environment.
- Knowledge of sales of software or computer related products with emphasis on web infrastructure security and content control.
- Strong prospecting, phone and communication skills mandatory. As well as skills in time management and organization.
- Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
