Summary:
The deficiency specialist's task is to increase deficiency sales from deficiencies noted on inspection reports produced by the sprinkler and fire alarm inspection teams. This will be done by reviewing complete and accurate inspection reports, pricing deficiencies noted by the report and delivering this quote via email, letter, proposal or phone call to the customer. A follow-up process with letters documenting the deficiency, the need to correct the deficiency to meet code will be implemented and tracked by the deficiency specialist. The goal would be to drive 100% quotable on all deficiencies and a 35% close rate on all quotes.
Job Duties:
- Manage a deficiency lead, proposed, quoted, sold tracking sheet for review
- Quote 100% of all deficiencies noted on the field reports
- Write letters to all customers with deficiencies regarding NFPA 25 or 72 requirements to repair deficiencies
- Propose all deficiency repairs unless a job site visit is required to propose
- Relegate all customer site visit investigations to the outside sales force
- Close open deficiency proposals via the phone or letter campaign
- Send follow-up written correspondence to all customers who do not respond
- Interact with the inspection teams and their manager to drive success in the program
- Associates degree or successful sales experience in a related field required
- Excellent phone skills
