AUMA Actuators, Inc. a manufacturer of industrial equipment is accepting resumes for the position of Inside Technical Sales in our Southpointe headquarters. 

 

Position Summary: 

Provide timely and accurate response to customers. Provide sales and technical support to the AUMA sales organization. Perform specification review, interpretation and quotation preparation. Enter sales and changes order into the computer system for customer approval and production. Support customer order through various departments within the organization. Assist Supervisor in accordance to documented work instructions and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities

Applications:

§         Review and interpret customer requirements and answer questions received by phone, email or fax.

§         Review and interpret technical specifications to determine appropriate product configuration.

§         Answer questions of field sales organization (direct staff, representatives, distributors and automation centers)

§         Perform sizing calculations and select correct product

§         Prepare quotations for customer and track through delivery stage

§         Interact with Engineering, Order Entry and Manufacturing departments to obtain information as required to answer customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Order Entry:

§         Process orders in proprietary database

§         Complete Product technical data sheets for purpose of order entry

§         Enter sales and change orders into computer system

§         Distribute sales orders to various departments for processing

§         Expedite, ship and invoice assigned orders

§         Interface with Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing departments to obtain information as required to answer customer inquiries in a timely manner

 

Requirements:

§         Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required; B.S. degree preferred

§         Demonstrated Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude; valve and/or actuator experience a plus

§         Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

§         Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical

§         Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with accuracy in a timely manner

§         Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work as a team member and among cross-functional teams

§         Work requires continued attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, data entry, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

§         Proficient in MS Office

§         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

§         Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable of office administrative procedures including ability to use standard office equipment
