Insight Analyst Job in London/Berkshire, London Uk

Our Client is a well known, global brand in the Entertainment sector and we are looking for an Interim Business Insight Analyst to be based jointly in London and Berkshire until end of June 2012 as a minimum.

 

The Business Analyst role provides data analysis against the key performance indicators used by the marketing team.

 

We are seeking an experienced data analyst with an excellent history of online engagement analysis, ideally with a B2C focus. The candidate will be expected to manage processes to communicate traffic engagement data and make analytic comparisons on trends and YoY/MoM engagement data.

 

Key responsibilities and activities

Evaluate existing report suites and establish bookmarked reports to cover a wide range of markets

Design user-friendly weekly monthly reporting templates which can provide high-level exec summary of performance

Analysis of traffic patterns, dwell time and other key engagement KPIs

Support Producers in data-driven content decisions by providing historical engagement data and projected engagement of similar titles/content/programmes.

Support Producers by reporting success/failures of programmed content

Management of the demands of the major stakeholders (subscriptions, transactions, advertising, business development, marketing, editorial) from a data-driven perspective

Monthly presentation of programming and content recommendations with goal of maximizing user delight, customer engagement and monetization

 

Experience and background required

A strong proficiency with metrics reporting tools and processes (Omniture Site Catalyst would be perfect!)

Passion for engagement metrics, statistics data. SQL or relational database experience a plus.

Proven working knowledge in data analysis for multiple channels, ideally in an online/entertainment environment

Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills

Ability to present data in a clear format which will be interesting for all stakeholders

Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment

Experience of establishing score cards, reporting suites and reporting templates

Minimum 3 years’ experience in online data metrics analysis

Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., creating formulas, pivot tables) is advantageous.

Interest in Games, Video and/or Music desirable

Degree in information management, mathematics statistics, communications, or related discipline would be good
