Institutional Client Relationship Manager

The Opportunity:

• This is a newly created role within an established and highly respected Institutional Client Relationship Management team

• You will be given the opportunity to assume the lead role in the management of certain client relationships and this will involve taking the lead at formal client meetings, participating in new business pitches with a conscious eye on cross-selling, as well of the maintenance of client relationships through regular less formal interaction

• You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of your clients requirements and push the envelope with regard to exceptional client relationship, with a constant awareness of other business development opportunities

• Through both quantitative and qualitative targets you will retain and develop existing and additional asset and revenue flows from your client base

• To be truly effective within this role you will need to be able to accurately represent the investment process and current portfolio strategy to clients and your knowledge will be enhanced through proactive study, attendance at relevant investment forums etc.

• The ability to build strong and effective relationships with the investment consulting community is also required in order to seek business referrals and retain their confidence in this asset managers products and investment philosophy

Your Profile:

• You will have a record of academic achievement combined with some relevant industry qualifications – IMC is a minimum expectation

• You will have worked within the asset management industry for a number of years, most likely within an Institutional Client Servicing type of role. If you are working within a junior fund management / analyst role (i.e. technically sound with regard to investments) and you feel your talents are more suited to a relationship management role, then you may also be considered

• The minimum expectation is that you will have experience of working closely with and managing the day to day relationship with small to medium sized pooled clients, however, familiarity with multi-asset / diversified growth investments would be useful but not a prerequisite. However, it would be a distinct advantage if you have experience of managing the day to day relationships with segregated accounts as well as members of the investment consulting community

• In terms of your personal attributes, you will clearly possess a very strong client service ethos along with strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret financial data
