Institutional Equity Sales Assistant
Position Description
• Obtain and distribute research material
• Maintenance calls to clients to inform them of conference calls, marketing lunches
and conferences
• Organizing extensive travel, including flights, itineraries, hotel bookings, currency, etc. through Amex travel agency
• Completing procedures for expenses incurred when managers are traveling
• Maintain client list, CIS, MS mail list and Research Link data
• Help and advise clients on requests concerning MS Research Link, give personal training if necessary
• Set up meetings for clients with analysts upon request
• Set up schedules and itineraries in liaison with the marketing department
• Organise client events, offsites and other activities
• Answer telephones promptly and consistently
• Projects of different types upon request
Skills Required
Principle Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
• Commercial Apprenticeship (KV) or equivalent
• Experience in Banking, particularly in Equity Sales
• PC know-how, MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
• Know-how of Reuters and Bloomberg is an advantage
• Strong interest in financial markets
Interpersonal Skills required:
• Certain flexibility in regards to working hours
• Ability to perform duties pro-active, reliable and accurate without constant supervision
• Well organized and showing initiative
• Team player, open-minded
• Effective communications and persuasive ability
• Discretion
Regular Contacts and Reporting Relationships:
• Regular contacts with clients (phone and e-mail)
• Contact with Equity Sales Team
• Contact with Equity dealers
• Relationship with Back-/Middle office
