BlackRock's institutional marketing team is in building mode, finding new and better ways to help our Institutional Client Business connect with clients--part of a firm-wide push to advance the state of the art in asset management marketing. A key element is our drive to improve the ways in which we create, manage and measure thought-leadership publications and client communications.
We're looking for an energetic addition to the team who will focus mainly on content management and creation, playing a role in everything from client emails to website copy to white paper production. Position reports to the lead editor-writer for the institutional team, working closely with him as well as the rest of the team. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, good writing and editing talent and a deep desire to help us build the best communications program in institutional asset management.
Qualifications:
· 8-10 years financial communications experience, in journalism and/or at an asset management, financial, consulting, or other firm. Experience in ghost-writing and thought-leadership publishing a big plus.
· Strong organizational skills. Ability to track and manage a variety of content projects from start to finish--from inception with high-level stakeholders through multiple iterations, compliance review, production, and delivery to clients via digital and traditional channels.
· Good writing and editing skills, and ability to do either one as the situation demands. Ability to address complex topics in a reader-friendly but sophisticated manner. Experience in writing both short items and analytical features.
· Good working knowledge of financial markets and institutional asset management and a desire to learn more.
· Flexible, team player. Record of learning and progressing in prior positions.
