Institutional Junior Client Service Associate

Excellent opportunity for a 2-4 year post undergraduate candidate to segue into a growth oriented role within a successful investment management firm.  This individual will work with senior level relationship managers to provide superior client service.  The Relationship Managers act as the voice of the portfolio managers and discuss a wide variety of topics with clients including portfolio performance and dynamics, ideas for future asset allocation, industry trends and more.  This analyst will support that effort by providing data gathering, development of reports, creating advanced spreadsheets to analyze and present data, writing investment commentary including specific information about the performance of client portfolios.   The Analyst will help to prepare the Relationship Manager for in person client investment reviews.  In addition, the Analyst may pitch in with other related tasks such as being a point person for information for other people at the firm regarding specific questions on the client portfolios, working with the RFP team to craft customized answers from time to time, updating data in the Consultant Database and much more. 

Requirements

We are seeking an eager, hard working indivdiual with 1-4 years of experience within the investment industry.  A BS ideally in related discipline such as finance, accounting, math, economics, etc.  Work experience may include investment operations, client service, rfp or other investment writing.  Participation in or desire to begin a program such as the CFA and/or advanced degree (MBA, MSF, etc).  We are seeking an individual who has outstanding communication skills both verbally and written.  The ability to work under deadlines and juggle multiple priorities is essential.  A strong orientation toward servicing clients and being a good representative of the firm. Finally, a strong command of technology including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and any advanced skills such as SQL or databases is a plus.
