Institutional sales Associate recruitment

By joining GfK Boutique Research you will be part of a fast-paced international team (10+ nationalities out of 35 staff) focused on research for capital markets clients; you will also join the German GfK Group which employs 11,000+ staff in 90 countries with revenues of €1.2+ billion.
GfK Boutique Research provides unique data driven institutional research derived from GfK point-of-sale (POS) data. We market this research to institutional investors primarily focused on technology investments at tier one hedge funds. Our 20+ analysts based in US, UK and Hong Kong read and analyse GfK POS data to describe the current and predict the future end-demand trends for technology hardware products from Samsung, LG, Apple, RIM, Sharp, Nokia, and many others.
The role consists of supporting a developed territory along with building your own client base. The team has ambitious plans to grow this business and requires a consistent, pro-active and strategically-designed sales process. This position reports directly into Sr. Equity Sales Manager and is involved with client support, collaboration with senior sales person, and own prospecting
Responsibilities
• Prospecting, selling, closing annual research subscriptions.
• Client support of current GfK research subscribers
• Supporting senior salesperson marketing efforts
• Achieve individual and team quota
• Identify opportunities; participate in product design initiatives
• Contribute to coordination of sales activities between UK, HK and US offices
• Forecast accurately
• Create and Execute on territory plan
• Collect and input key data into centralized sales force automation tool
• Ensure our analysts are exposed to our clients to secure our near 100% historical renewal rate
• Retain and expand existing client relationships
Required Experience and Skills
• Ideally some experience selling to hedge funds
• Strong presentation skills
• Prospecting experience
• Proven record of sales goal achievement
• Bachelor’s degree
• 0-1 years of successful research and/or finance sales
• Developed Sales Process
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
• Interest in technology a plus
• Some travel required (10%-15%)
