Institutional Sales Person – Research Services recruitment
Marwood Group is a registered broker-dealer and investment advisor specializing in providing independent research reports and services to the institutional marketplace. Marwood’s Research Group focuses exclusively on tracking and analyzing regulatory and legislative catalysts across multiple sectors including but not limited to Healthcare, Energy and Education.
This is a high-level institutional sales management role in which the candidate will be responsible for originating new business for the Marwood Group through the marketing and soliciting of Marwood’s research services. The candidate will also market our research coverage on current issues impacting energy and education.
A successful candidate will be expected to identify and target potential new clients who will benefit from the Marwood Group’s research services covering regulatory and legislative catalysts. The institutional sales person role is a high level consultancy sales role that will be responsible for constantly growing and originating new business for the firm.
An ideal candidate will have spent time as an institutional sales person at a Wall Street focused and/or Healthcare Services firm. Salary commensurate with experience, plus commission and full benefits. Candidates with experience selling research covering financial impacts of public policy developments on equity/fixed income markets are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- This position is based in New York, NY;
- 5 years managing sophisticated client relationships and/or relevant government experience;
- Interest or expertise in DC market moving issues; capital markets sales or research and/or healthcare sales;
- Superior sales, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to multi-task effectively, juggling multiple sales relationships;
- Will be expected to pass series 7 or 65/66 in order to cover clients in a reasonable period of time.
