Institutional Sales Trader

Excellent opportunity for an experienced sales trader with strong knowledge of the African markets to contribute to the growth of this dynamic international broker based in South Africa.

Key purpose of the role will be to build and manage international stockbroking deal flow and grow trading commission revenues for the firm.    Focus will be on an international and regional (cross border) client base.  This will involve an element of business travel and requires applicants to demonstrate excellent communication skills to complement a highly commercial, revenue-driven approach and excellent technical ability.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic self-starter with the desire and ability to succeed in this highly competitive marketplace.  The ability to build and maintain profitable client relationships is essential and applicants must demonstrate sales trading ability and possess an already established client network.  Day to day the role will involve managing and growing the firm’s international deal flow, expanding the existing client base and the firm’s market share and working closely with colleagues in Sales and Research to convert prospects into active clients.
