Institutional Sr. Sales Specialist

Major Responsibilities:

25% Maintain a personal/ business relationship with a select, active, and highly sophisticated group of institutional securities portfolio managers. Inform this group on current and projected market-related events and statistics, which may affect the price of fixed income securities, and thus, their decision-making to invest. Meet with clients periodically to garner knowledge of the investment needs of the client.

25% Maintains a prospecting regimen with internal bank referral sources, along with an external calling effort, to increase the base of clients to serve.

25% Selling of the proprietary and inventoried products offered by the bank, (UBIS- Institutional Trading and the affiliate securities brokerage firm. In addition, acts as broker in all securities offered by UBIS, responding to client requests to purchase or sell a security by directly collaborating with U.S. government, U.S. government agency, bank liability, mortgage-backed, municipal, corproate or money market traders to establish firm bids, offers and information. Negotiate the price of the security between the customer and trader to consummate the securities trade.

15% Adheres to all risk, regulatory and compliance responsibilities required by securities industry regulations, and firm and bank policies and procedures.

10% Cross sells other Wealth Markets, UBIS and bank products and services with the objective of vertically penetrating into the present UBIS client base to provide a deeper relationship between the bank, the brokerage firm and the client.

Additional Information

Requires the ability to independently and effectively market and sell fixed income securities ;  possess excellent telephone sales skills and  highly developed communication skills; requires a broad knowledge in  all the products and  services offered by UBIS Institutional Brokerage.  Must have the knowledge of the interrelated factors which affect market prices, along with the general and specific functions of the department.Education, Licensure, Experience:  Requires FINRA Series 7 63 registered license and a minimum of 5 years technical sales experience of fixed income securities.  Typically requires a bachelor degree in a related subject matter.
