Technisource, a division of the SFN Group is currently seeking Technical Instructional Design candidates for our valued client in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This is a open ended contract with possibility of extension for immediate consideration.

The ideal candidate will have a Network Engineering background with the ability to write course work for Engineers in the Cable or Telecommunications space.

Knowledge of Cable industry technology including Internet Protocol (IP), TCP/IP, NOC and Datacenter technologies, Head end, Advanced Services as well as subnetting and network technologies is high desirable

Instructional Designer
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the design, development and evaluation of Clients technical curriculum.  Provide enhancements/revisions to existing materials, using services of external consultants, or teaming with in-house subject matter experts to develop, deliver and/or evaluate the new technical curriculum.  Design and develop programs using different delivery platforms; i.e., instructor led for classroom, instructor led for online, self-paced web based training, and performance support tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Design, develop and evaluate the effectiveness of technical curriculum and serve as creative and planning resource to internal customers and trainers
 
Participate in the design and integration of technical  classes into a comprehensive curriculum for each training function; ensure each course can be modularized and marketed to different employee groups as needed
 
Design and develop training programs based on business and performance objectives developed by training managers; create and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of all training initiatives
 
Act as an instructional design subject matter expert
 
Serve as project lead for teams of subject matter experts for each design and development project; assist in pilot and train-the-trainer delivery as needed
 
Research and analyze training options, delivery methods and techniques; design and develop content for different delivery platforms -  instructor led for classroom, instructor led for online, self-paced web based training and performance support tools
 
Manage external resources to maximize cost effectiveness and quality
 
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to use personal computer and software applications specific to instructional design (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, authoring software, etc.)
Skills in instructional design methodologies
Knowledge of a variety of training delivery systems; classroom, online, web based etc.
Skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives
Demonstrated knowledge of training methodology
Ability to work independently 
Outstanding written and oral communication skills and presentation skills
Demonstrated project management and project leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects to meet target dates for implementation
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to lead others to complete projects
