Job Description: The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets. Additional Details: RESPONSIBILITIES Working with subject matter experts in the Shaw Power EHS community to quickly assess, design and develop instructor-led training materials to address Environmental Health Safety (EHS) federal and state regulations. Develop, revise, and validate training objectives, storyboards, assessments and hands-on activities in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts / Content Specialist for instructional soundness, pace of presentation, consistency of tone, style and readability levels. Research information and perform support activities and field assessments to ensure training meets state and federal regulatory requirements and are aligned with Shaw Power EHS policies and procedures. Analyze content, target audience, job tasks, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives. Producing or working with graphic artist to develop various visual aids. Actively participate in developing strategy to migrate select ILT content to eLearning or web-based training for self paced, or on demand training. Develop schedules and timelines for product deliverables and perform all development within schedule and budget. QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE ? Undergraduate degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology and/or Curriculum Development. Minimum of 5 years experience developing content for both instructor lead and web based delivery. ? Minimum two (2) years academic or practical training/learning industry experience. ? Physical Requirements: This positions requires constant (70-100%) Sitting; Observing (vision; viewing a computer screen) and Hearing (listening) and Travel (10 - 15%). ? Must possess a valid driver?s license with clean driving record. ? Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning theories and expertise in developing instructional materials. ? Demonstrated instructional design skills including audience analysis, needs analysis, development of scope, design specifications, performance-based objectives, assessments, and curriculum development. ? Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience applying the ADDIE model of instructional design. ? Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. ? Experience developing instructor-led training as well as e-learning compliant with SCORM / AICC standards. ? Ability to drive consensus across multiple subject matter experts. ? Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on large-scale projects. ? High proficiency with web-based design tools such as Captivate, Adobe Flash, and/or other authoring/simulation-based software. ? High proficiency with Microsoft Office products. ? Self motivated with strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and strong attention to detail. Preferred: ? Demonstrated experience with Captivate or other training software ? Basic project management experience ? Experience in developing training compliant with OSHA requirements and EHS Policies and Procedures ? Ability to speak and write Spanish desirable but not required ?
